NC Soft is a leading Korean game company with the largest number of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPG) worldwide.

NC has developed and serviced several mega-hit games, including "Lineage", "Lineage 2", "ION", "Guild War", and "Blade & Soul". Among them, Lineage is the longest-running MMORPG that has been continuing its service for 25 years.

NC's MMORPG is enjoying global popularity on mobile platforms, representative of which are "Lineage-M" and "Lineage2M".

Another ambitious work that NC will start commercial services within the first half of this year is "TL"(Throne and Liberty).

This game has been developed by the company with tens of billions of won over the past five years, making it one of the most anticipated games in the global game industry this year.

NC has signed a strategic partner contract with US big-tech company Amazon for the success of TL, drawing keen attention from the global game market.

Amazon Games and NC SOFT today announced an agreement to bring TL to North America, South America, Europe, and Japan. NC will directly service Asian regions, including Korea and Taiwan.

Amazon Games will publish the highly anticipated title for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with support for cross-platform play.

“NC SOFT has created some of the most popular and longest-running online games in the world, so it’s no surprise that TL is among today’s most anticipated MMOs." said Christoph Hartmann, VP, Amazon Games.

He said that “the last year has taught us a great deal about publishing and managing a successful live-service game on a global scale, and we’re ready to bring TL players an incredible experience at launch.”

TL is a MMORPG that combines story-driven adventure and action combat. In TL, players enter a vast world with constantly shifting geographical and environmental features that change the course of play.

Massive-scale player vs. player and player vs. environment combat are fundamental to TLy. Players can transform into animals to soar through the air or explore the depths of the sea, and even tip the odds of battle in their favor by triggering powerful environmental effects, like solar eclipses or rainstorms.

NC has a long history of developing and publishing beloved multiplayer franchises across the globe, including Lineage, AION, Blade & Soul, and Guild Wars.

TL is the latest next-gen MMO from the South Korea-based developer, and its first to be released across multiple regions in collaboration with an external publisher.

Amazon Games has successfully serviced MMORPG Lost Ark developed by Smilegate in Korea and is recognized for its ability to publish online games.

Global game industry officials are keeping an eye on how Amazon Games and NC will cooperate to service TL in the future.
