Comprised of three finalists from Peru's segment of the global K-pop audition, “Click the Star,” hosted by the World K-pop Center, the group marks a significant milestone in the international expansion of K-pop.
“Click the Star,” launched in the latter part of last year, aimed to establish 32 K-pop girl groups from 32 different countries, attracting around 5,000 auditions in Peru alone.
“BlingOne’s debut demonstrates that the K-pop training system can thrive globally, fostering unique idol groups that reflect diverse cultural influences. Through ‘Click the Star,’ we aim to show that K-pop transcends Korea to become a beloved global music genre,” stated the World K-pop Center in an official press release.
Following their selection as finalists, BlingOne members Kenny, Abigail, and Rubi underwent intensive K-pop training in Seoul, Korea.
A documentary series chronicling the members' journey into K-pop stardom will premiere on Korean platforms and Peruvian television.
BlingOne’s debut performance of “Kiss & Call” will be featured on ENA’s “K-pop Up Chart Show” at 6:30 p.m. on July 12.
