K-Pop rock band DAY6 is set to make history as the first K-pop band to perform a solo concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome, South Korea’s largest indoor concert venue. On November 11, JYP Entertainment unveiled the official poster for “2024 DAY6 Special Concert: The Present,” scheduled to take place on December 20 and 21 in Seoul’s Guro District.

This achievement is a monumental milestone not only for DAY6, who celebrates their 10th anniversary this year but also for the K-pop band scene, which has never before headlined a solo show at this prestigious venue. The Gocheok Sky Dome, with its immense size and advanced facilities, is typically reserved for major events, making this a landmark moment for the genre and DAY6’s career.

“The Present” will be DAY6’s third major concert this year, underscoring their surging popularity and ability to captivate audiences. In April, the band drew approximately 34,000 fans with their “Welcome to the Show” concert, followed by a September show titled “Forever Young” at the Incheon Inspire Arena, attracting over 40,000 attendees. Each of these performances highlighted DAY6’s growth and solidified their place as a powerhouse in live K-pop music.

This year-end event, which follows last December’s special solo concert marking their first full-member performance post-military service, continues the tradition of connecting deeply with fans. Known for their soulful music and stirring live shows, DAY6 promises a memorable experience to close out the year, engaging My Day (their fandom) with a unique setlist and atmospheric production.

Ticket sales for “The Present” will open on November 19 from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. for DAY6’s official fan club My Day’s fourth generation members, followed by general sales on November 20 at 8 p.m. The highly anticipated event is expected to sell out quickly, reflecting the band’s significant fanbase and the special nature of the concert.

In addition to their historic Seoul concert, DAY6 is extending their impact globally through their third world tour. The tour will take the band to multiple cities, starting with Singapore on November 22, followed by Bangkok on November 30 and December 1, and Kaohsiung on January 18, 2025. They will also perform in Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Manila, and across the Asia-Pacific region, making stops in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.

Finally, the tour will reach North America with highly anticipated performances in Los Angeles on April 16 and 17 and in New York on April 19. These shows mark DAY6’s continued international expansion and growing reputation as one of K-pop’s most dynamic live bands.

JYP Entertainment expressed confidence that this concert at Gocheok Sky Dome will stand as a defining moment in the band’s career, allowing them to share a profound musical experience with fans both domestically and globally. As DAY6 takes on this milestone performance, “The Present” promises to be a powerful and unforgettable celebration of their journey, achievements, and the loyalty of their global fanbase.
