Veteran singer and producer J.Y. Park is set to release his highly anticipated new single "Happy Hour" this Wednesday, marking his return to the music scene after a year-long hiatus. The announcement was made by his entertainment company, JYP Entertainment, which confirmed that this will be Park's first new musical release since his previous track "Easy Lover" dropped in 2024.

Park Jin-young, professionally known as J.Y. Park, is a 53-year-old music industry powerhouse who founded JYP Entertainment, one of South Korea's most influential and successful K-pop agencies. Beyond his role as an entertainer and business mogul, Park also holds a prestigious position as co-chair of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange, highlighting his significant influence in promoting Korean culture internationally.

According to JYP Entertainment, "Happy Hour" is being described as a country-pop fusion song that features a warm and soothing musical tone. The track showcases not only Park's distinctive vocals but also includes a collaboration with talented singer Kwon Jin-ah, creating what the agency promises to be a memorable musical partnership between the two artists.

The song's concept centers around the relatable experience of modern office workers seeking comfort and relaxation after demanding workdays. JYP Entertainment explained that "Happy Hour" beautifully captures the quiet solace and peaceful moments that many people experience when they unwind by listening to their favorite playlist during their commute home, making it a deeply resonant piece for working professionals and music lovers alike.
