In a significant development, K-pop sensation Kingdom is all set to conclude its ambitious "History Of Kingdom" series with the release of its seventh and final EP, "Part. VII. Jahan." Member Dann expressed the collective sentiment, emphasizing the immense effort poured into the album production, characterizing it as the grand finale to this groundbreaking series of albums.
Scheduled for release on Oct. 18, "History Of Kingdom: Part VII. Jahan" will place member Jahan at the forefront, making this album a particularly special moment for both the artist and fans. The "History Of Kingdom" series has been a unique endeavor, incorporating a fictional universe into the band's music since their debut in 2021. Each album within the series showcased one of the seven band members as a king from different kingdoms across various timelines, all working towards becoming the true king.
Jahan, the central figure in the upcoming album, expressed his excitement, emphasizing that this opportunity allows him to truly showcase his authentic self. However, the album's promotional cover design faced criticism, drawing parallels to the Quran, the Islamic religious text. In response, both Kingdom and their agency, GF Entertainment, issued an apology and swiftly initiated the recall of 70,000 initial copies of the album for a redesign.
Acknowledging the controversy, the agency emphasized Kingdom's commitment to reinterpreting diverse cultures within the realm of K-pop while upholding values of cultural diversity and coexistence. Preorders for the highly anticipated album resumed on Sept. 26, showcasing the band's dedication to their fans and the desire to ensure a respectful and successful album release.
