October 13th, 2023 - At the Moryham Exhibition Center in Seoul, Colin Jin’s replica of performing "Jongmyo Jeryeak," the grand symphonic music for regular royal rites at Jongmyo, the Joseon royal mausoleum, went on exhibit after 18 months.

His first solo exhibition titled “Colin Jin's HEstorical Lego”, features a variety of works that use pre-built Lego sets to recreate traditional Korean dancing movements, dining tables, masks, and books, among many other things.

Young Colin Jin enjoyed playing by himself and creating toys from different materials, such as paper and wood. He stated he learned a lot while assembling and disassembling Lego kits and eventually made his own planet.

He was resolved to spend more time with his daughter after becoming a father himself, making her Lego sets rather than just purchasing them. His daughter's Lego artworks, such as a purse, pencil box, and lamp, are among the items on show.

어린 콜린 진은 나무, 종이 등 다양한 재료를 이용해 스스로 장난감을 만들며 혼자 놀곤 했습니다. 그는 레고 세트를 만들고 분해하면서 자신만의 새로운 세계를 창조하면서 많은 것을 배웠다고 말했습니다.

그는 아빠가 된 후 딸과 더 많은 시간을 보내 딸을 위한 레고 세트를 사는 것이 아니라 만들기로 결심했습니다. 전시된 물건에는 지갑, 필통, 램프 등 딸을 위해 만든 레고 작품이 포함됩니다.

"I hope my works can pique the interest of the Lego company and eventually encourage it to make more products related to Korean culture," he said.
