AKMU, the K-pop sibling duo, is set to commemorate their 10th anniversary with a celebratory concert at the KSPO Dome on June 15-16, according to YG Entertainment. The venue, situated within the Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, has a capacity of approximately 15,000 spectators.
The concert, titled "AKMU 10th Anniversary Concert 10VE," merges the term "Love" with the number 10, symbolizing the milestone of a decade in the music industry for the duo. YG Entertainment revealed that AKMU aims to deliver a performance brimming with affection for their dedicated fanbase who have accompanied them throughout their musical journey.
Recently, as part of their 10th debut anniversary celebrations, AKMU announced the official name of their fan club, "AKKKADEMY," along with unveiling their emblem. Additionally, the duo embarked on a nationwide tour named "AKMUTOPIA," spanning approximately three months and encompassing 10 cities with a total of 17 performances.
In an upcoming event, on August 17, AKMU is scheduled to perform at Japan's renowned music festival, "Summer Sonic 2024," to be held at the ZOZO Marine Stadium and the Makuhari Messe Osaka.
Consisting of singer-songwriter and producer Lee Chan-hyuk, 27, and his younger sister, vocalist Lee Su-hyun, 24, AKMU made their debut in 2014 after emerging as winners of the second season of the survival audition TV show K-pop Star, which aired in 2012 and 2013. Since then, the duo has remained a consistent presence in the K-pop industry, producing fresh and popular music.
