Seoul Beauty Week, an annual cosmetics fair organized by the Seoul city government, is set to begin next week at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) for a three-day event, city officials announced Wednesday. In its third year, the event will run from Tuesday to Thursday at DDP in central Seoul. The fair aims to enhance the competitiveness of South Korea’s beauty industry and support mid-sized cosmetic companies.
The lineup includes major cosmetic brands such as Amorepacific, Kolmar Korea, and Aekyung Industrial and smaller brands like Romand, Dinto, and Dewytree. Products from Imprintu, a self-tattoo brand by LG H&H, will also be featured, along with items from the U.S., Germany, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Pop-up stores from participating brands will be set up in three popular Seoul districts: Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Gangnam. Approximately 200 buyers from 36 countries, including representatives from the global beauty care store chain Watsons, will also attend to connect with Korean beauty manufacturers.
Visitors can enjoy various experiences, including a makeup show featuring celebrity looks and makeup services. Admission is free, and visitors can register in advance on the Seoul Beauty Week website or at the event site during the fair.
