The solo exhibition 'Monument Valley' by painter and installation artist Eun-jeong Choi was held in Seoul.
Artist Choi's solo exhibition, which has her style with colorful colors and psychedelic paintings, is drawing a lot of attention.
Based on her own experiences and research in the exhibition, the artist develops images of natural objects that cross reality and illusion into the 'Hyper Still Life' series. In the exhibition, a total of 11 new works, including five paintings, sculptural paintings, and drawings with frames, will be displayed.
The artist contains a discourse on the environment that changes into an abnormal climate and natural disasters in the reality where nature and civilization must coexist. Through the work, visitors can see the artist's gaze on the question of what the new land will look like for mankind.
The main artwork, the 'Hyper Still Life' series, depicts objects such as flowers and plant pots selected by humans as a world of imagination and metaphorical daydreaming.
In particular, the exhibition will attract visitors' attention because it is made of the artist's private object in a specialized space such as a stage and table.
The exhibition will be held until December 10 at the New Spring Project located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
