INB100 agency announced on Tuesday that Chen, a member of the K-pop group EXO, will be making a solo comeback with his fourth EP titled "Door," scheduled to be released on May 28.
This marks Chen's return as a solo musician after approximately 1 1/2 years since his previous EP, "Last Scene," which achieved success by topping the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 31 regions.
The singer recently celebrated his fifth solo debut anniversary. Chen, known as the main vocalist of EXO, began his solo career in April 2019 with the EP "April, and a Flower." Since then, he has released two more EPs in Korea and one in Japan, in addition to contributing to various drama soundtracks.
In a separate event, Chen joined his EXO bandmates on stage in Incheon last month for the band's fan meeting titled "One," commemorating EXO's 12th debut anniversary. Six members were present at the fan meeting, as Kai and Sehun were fulfilling their military service duties.
