Stray Kids, a prominent K-pop boy group, is set to perform at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, marking their participation as the second Korean boy group after BTS in one of the United States' top three music awards ceremonies.
During the event scheduled for Sunday, Stray Kids will showcase their lead track "S-Class" from their third LP, "5-Star," along with the title track "Lalalala" from their latest album, "Rock-Star."
Additionally, the group has received nominations in two categories at the Billboard Music Awards—Top Global K-pop Artist and Top K-pop Album.
Stray Kids' global impact is evident in their track record of success on the Billboard 200 chart. Starting with their mini album "Oddinary" in March last year, subsequent releases "Maxident" in October 2022 and "5-Star" in June this year also secured top positions on the same chart.
Expanding their reach globally, Stray Kids made history as the first K-pop headliner at Lollapalooza Paris in July. Furthermore, they clinched the Best K-pop award with their single "S-Class" at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September.
The group is slated to go live on NHK's annual music extravaganza, "Kohaku Uta Gassen," scheduled for the last day of the year.
