Duo artist 'STEPPER''s first solo exhibition, 'A Lovely Stranger!' is held in Seoul.
STEPPER is a creative duo formed by Jaechi, who majored in fine art, and YULL, who majored in video. They are biological siblings and collaborates as artist who creates visual art together.
In the exhibition, the audience can enjoy works of various genres such as silkscreen, digital drawing, and painting. Artists express the city and youth with witty and trendy sensibilities.
Through this exhibition, artists will showcase about 70 works, including new works. They fantastically express the city they feel as strangers and show young people living fiercely in virtual spaces.
STEPPER said, "Our way of working is to describe the story through the process of engraving emotions, events, and words that pass by in everyday life, then taking them out and refining them." and added, "The goal of creation is to fill the frame through symbolism, dismantling, and combining."
An official from Galler Unplugged said, "It's STEPPER's unique charm to create a screen as if revitalizing ordinary everyday materials." and added, "It will be an opportunity to watch youth find a way to exist as a lovely stranger."
The exhibition will be held at Gallery Unplugged in Gangnam-gu, Seoul until December 16th.
