Gallery Woong based in Seoul, a contemporary art gallery, has constantly discovered and supported emerging and established contemporary artists from Korean and also other countries.

 

The gallery aims to communicate with audiences through experimentally curated shows of new contemporary artists. Gallery Woong founded in 1987 in Sinsa-dong has focused on producing contemporary discourse of present art scenes and also the gallery has worked to introduce its space to audiences to overview and understand contemporary art intensively. 

 

In 2000, Gallery Woong moved its location to Nonhyun-dong and in 2019 to Hongji-dong (299 JAHAMUN-RO) has kept its mission that the gallery keeps communicating among collectors and artists by diverse projects.
