Fifty Fifty Members Announce Intent to Disclose Surveillance and Control Details, Alleging Financial Irregularities

In an ongoing legal battle, K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty and their agency, Attrakt, are engaged in a growing conflict. On Thursday, the group released a statement indicating their intent to reveal the conditions under which they operated, citing surveillance and control within the agency.

Fifty Fifty members have used social media to communicate their concerns, stating their intention to disclose reasons for their departure from the agency and the inability to return. They previously applied for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt, alleging financial irregularities.

Specifically, the group claimed that the agency's representative, Jeon Hong-jun, conspired with Ahn Sung-il of an outsourcing company to plan a 5 billion won ($3.75 million) investment, which was an advance debt liability from another agency owned by representative J. They further asserted discrepancies in the agency's financial records regarding a settlement cost of 3 billion won, with undisclosed details about the utilization of 3.3 billion won for management expenses and 1.7 billion won in deposits.

Fifty Fifty urged Attrakt to refrain from framing their dispute as an external effort to poach emerging talents. To substantiate their claims, the group posted mobile phone messages exchanged between representatives Jeon Hong-jun and Ahn Sung-il. However, they have yet to provide specific reasons for their departure from the agency.

Currently on hiatus, Fifty Fifty's injunction request to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt was rejected by the Seoul Central District Court in August.
