Popular K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has unveiled its latest album, "The Name Chapter: Freefall," marking their return to the music scene after a year of extensive international touring, including notable events like Lollapalooza and MTV's Video Music Awards.
The press conference preceding the album's release on Thursday celebrated the group's achievements over the past 10 months, during which they performed across Asia and the US. Notably, they collaborated with the Jonas Brothers and headlined events like Lollapalooza Chicago and MTV's Video Music Awards.
The new album, "The Name Chapter: Freefall," continues the narrative from their previous release, "The Name Chapter: Temptation," depicting the group's journey of overcoming life's temptations and facing reality. The title track, "Chasing That Feeling," exudes an energetic new wave vibe with a blend of 1980s retro pop elements.
With a total of nine songs, including "Growth Pain," "Back for More (TXT ver.)," and "Dreamer," the album offers a diverse range of genres, showcasing the group's evolution and growth. TXT members were actively involved in the production, contributing to the lyrics and composition of several tracks.
"The Name Chapter: Freefall" achieved remarkable pre-order sales of 2.35 million copies, surpassing the band's previous records. TXT aspires to make a debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, building on their prior success of topping the Billboard 200 chart with their last album. The band's music is known for resonating with a global audience, rooted in themes of youth and empathy.
