The announcement was made on Monday through the fan platform Weverse, marking a pivotal moment for both the artist and his fervent fanbase.

Amid mounting anticipation, Big Hit Music stated, "Suga has initiated the process of fulfilling his military service," adding that he had successfully completed the application for the cancellation of his enlistment postponement. The agency also assured that forthcoming details regarding Suga's military enlistment would be promptly disclosed as decisions are finalized.

With unwavering support and a call for "warm support and unchanging love," Big Hit Music expressed their commitment to stand by Suga throughout his military journey, echoing their dedication to the artist's well-being and career.

Suga's impending enlistment places him in line as the third BTS member to undertake mandatory military service, joining the ranks of Jin and J-Hope. In accordance with South Korean regulations, all eligible male citizens must complete a minimum of 18 months of military service.

The enlistment of Suga follows the prior enlistment of fellow members Jin and J-Hope, who entered military service in December of the previous year and April of the current year, respectively.
