Whistle, along with artist Ram Han, participated in the “Discovery Sector,” which introduces promising artists to this fair.
Ram Han worked as an illustrator before making his debut in the art world in 2017 with the exhibition ‘Ghost Arm’ at the North Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul.
She first started to make her name known by posting her works on social media, and her follower count now reaches 80,000.
In this art fair, Ram Han presents 11 new works that express the instability of modern society by comparing the image of food with contradictions. The main materials that appear in the work are food and human organs. "Food reveals the duality of human desire and collapse, and human organs symbolize human consciousness such as fear and anxiety," said Whistle.
Meanwhile, Ram Han, born in 1989, is active mainly in Seoul. Having held her first solo exhibition at Gallery Whistle in 2017, she participated in group exhibitions in various exhibitions such as Busan Biennale 2020, D Museum, Audio Visual Pavilion, and Culture Station Seoul 284, making her name known.
In particular, she is collaborating with famous Korean entertainment companies and fashion brands, such as Apple, Big Hit, and SM.
