[Sayart interview] The first special art exhibition presented by Blue House_ The Federation of Disability Culture and Arts Association of Korea President Bae Eun-Joo
Q. Please, explain the planning intentions, impressions, and background of this exhibition.
A. This project is the first special exhibition of the Blue House, an exhibition for artists with disabilities, and The Main theme is ‘Into the People, Into Harmony’
A few months ago, our government said that it would turn the Blue House into a cultural complex and return it to the people. We are very happy to take on the first project.
This exhibition will be a very good first example of supporting the underprivileged artistic activities of the disabled in need.
Additionally, I think this exhibition will bring great hope and joy not only to disabled artists but also to the public.
Q. Could you please explain the special braille brochure you made this time?
A. The visually impaired cannot see the artwork images in the catalog. So we made a special catalog this project.
The visually impaired can imagine the figure by touching the embossed part of the Braille map with their fingers.
Of course, they can also understand picture descriptions through Braille. We put a lot of time and money into making this catalog.
Thank you I hope that this exhibition will end successfully.
