In 1951, Seundja Rhee departed Korea for Paris, embarking on a journey that would shape her prolific artistic career. Focused on formative arts, she cultivated a substantial body of work encompassing Western painting, woodblock prints, pottery, tapestry, mosaic, and poetry. Central to Rhee's artistic philosophy was the Eastern concept of yin and yang, which she deemed the foundational essence of her work.
