On November 15, Phillips New York will sell two very rare works that Warhol made when he was only 20 years old, at the end of 1948, a year before he graduated from college.
He created his first self-portrait “Andy Warhol, Nosepicker I: Why Pick on Me”. Many people consider this painting to be his first masterpiece. It is estimated to fetch $250,000 to $450,000.
Another of his school artworks is Living Room, painted as an assignment for his major in the field of pictorial design. The assignment was to create an imaginary living space that tells the story of the people who live there. The Living Room is estimated to be worth $300,000 to $500,000.
