"The 8 Show" Tops Netflix's Global Non-English Content List

Netflix original series “The 8 Show” has topped Netflix's Global Top 10 list in the Non-English Content category during the second week of its release. The series was viewed 4.8 million times last week and has accumulated a total of 6.5 million views since its debut, according to Netflix.
“The 8 Show” has gained international popularity, appearing in the Top 10 Non-English series in 68 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Egypt, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The drama features a plot where eight strangers come together to live on separate floors, participating in a dangerous competitive game with the aim of winning life-changing sums of money. The characters experience intense conflict due to their differing opinions and desires.
Director Han Jae-rim expressed his satisfaction with the show's reception in a news release on Monday, noting his pleasure at reaching a global audience. Han's previous works include the films “The King” (2017) and “Emergency Declaration” (2022). “The 8 Show” is his first Netflix series and is currently available for streaming on the platform.
