Jimin, a member of the renowned group BTS, achieved international success with his latest solo single, "Closer Than This," topping the iTunes Top Song charts in 90 countries globally on Saturday, one day after its release, as reported by BigHit Music.
The digital single secured the No. 1 position on charts in notable countries, including the United States, Japan, Germany, and France, as of 8 a.m.
Dedicated to the band's fandom, known as ARMY, the song features a promise from Jimin to maintain a steadfast connection, expressing that he won't let go of "your hold" despite any challenges.
Accompanying the single is a music video that takes fans on a nostalgic journey through Jimin's illustrious 10-year musical career.
On December 12, Jimin commenced his mandatory military service, adhering to South Korea's requirement for all able-bodied men to serve for a minimum of 18 months.
