In an eagerly awaited announcement, JYP Entertainment revealed that singer-songwriter Young K, a prominent member of the acclaimed boy band DAY6, will be dropping his first solo full-length album titled "Letters with Notes" on September 4. The upcoming album will mark Young K's latest solo venture, following his successful debut album "Eternal" nearly two years ago, and holds special significance as his first release since completing his mandatory military service in April.
Renowned for his multi-faceted talents, Young K has continually impressed fans both as a DAY6 member and a part of the group's subunit, Even of Day. With "Letters with Notes," JYP Entertainment expressed confidence in Young K's ability to showcase his artistry, having already proven himself as a prolific songwriter and musician.
The singer-songwriter's solo journey commenced with the release of multiple demo tracks, starting with "Text Me Now" in 2020, signaling his exploration of individual artistry. His first EP, "Eternal," released in 2021, was a resounding success, with all seven tracks, including the lead single "Guard You," composed, written, and produced by Young K himself. His prowess as a songwriter was further evident with the popular hit "Rose Blossom," which he wrote for girl group H1-KEY in 2023, earning widespread acclaim for its well-crafted lyrics.
