SM Entertainment Announces BoA as Producer for Final Subunit of NCT

On Wednesday, SM Entertainment revealed that veteran singer BoA will be overseeing the debut of NCT's final subunit, NCT Wish. The six-member team is scheduled to make their debut on Feb. 21 in both Korea and Japan, with BoA named as the producer for the highly-anticipated launch.

With a career spanning over two decades, she maintains a devoted fan base, particularly in Japan. BoA's influence extends beyond her singing career, as she has pioneered the presence of Korean artists on the global stage. Additionally, she has showcased her versatility by writing songs, producing albums, and collaborating with fellow artists, including the junior group aespa.

NCT Wish is poised to unveil their single titled "Wish" on Feb. 28, following their debut performance at SM Entertainment's all-star concert at Tokyo Dome the previous week. Notably, the single will be released in both Korean and Japanese, highlighting the group's international appeal. Grammy.com has recognized NCT Wish as one of the "11 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Know In 2024," further heightening expectations for their debut under BoA's guidance.
