In a resounding achievement for the Korean entertainment industry, the Tving original series "Bargain" has received an esteemed invitation to the 48th Toronto International Film Festival’s (TIFF) esteemed Primetime program, as declared by the streaming service on Tuesday.

The TIFF Primetime program serves as a platform for television shows that seamlessly transcend the conventional boundaries between television and cinema, all while exhibiting a remarkable standard of production.

This accolade comes on the heels of "Bargain" having been previously selected for the Cannes International Series Festival earlier in April, where it triumphantly secured the Best Screenplay award, enhancing its burgeoning reputation on the international stage. Notably, "Bargain" stands out as the sole Korean series to be granted entry into the TIFF Primetime program this year.

Drawing inspiration from director Lee Chung-hyun's short film of the same title crafted in 2015, "Bargain" has evolved into an expansive series that delves into the intricate realms of human organ trafficking, intertwining with the stories of its unsuspecting targets as they grapple with the exigency of evading an unforeseen earthquake.
