JYP Entertainment has announced that the widely acclaimed girl group NiziU is set to make its official debut in Korea on October 30th with their upcoming single, "Press Play." This eagerly awaited debut in Korea comes after a remarkable journey that began three years ago when the group was formed through a collaborative audition program between Sony Music Entertainment and JYP Entertainment in June 2020. The group first captivated audiences in Japan upon their debut in December of the same year.
NiziU quickly rose to prominence in the Japanese music scene with chart-topping tracks such as "Make you happy" (2020), "Chopstick" (2021), and "Take a picture" (2021). Their astounding success culminated when they became the fastest girl group to grace a dome stadium stage, an achievement realized with electrifying performances at the Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka in November and December of the previous year.
Recently, NiziU wrapped up their second tour, "'NiziU Live with U 2023 'COCO! nut Fes,'" enthralling fans across Japan with 17 dynamic performances held in eight cities and reaching an impressive total of 185,000 attendees. As they prepare for their Korean debut, anticipation and excitement are palpable, signaling a new and promising chapter for the sensational girl group, NiziU.
