World-renowned German cellist Daniel Muller-Schott is set to make his highly anticipated return to South Korea this October, presenting his first solo recital in Seoul in seven years. The acclaimed musician will perform at the prestigious Seoul Arts Center on October 12, offering audiences a carefully curated program that showcases centuries of German classical music excellence.

The evening's performance will feature two cornerstone works of the cello repertoire that demonstrate the instrument's evolving role in classical music. Beethoven's Cello Sonata No. 3 and Brahms' Cello Sonata No. 2 will anchor the program, tracing the cello's journey from Beethoven's masterful balanced dialogue between cello and piano to Brahms' more symphonic approach that condenses orchestral weight into intimate chamber music form. These masterpieces highlight the instrument's growing prominence and expressive capabilities across different musical periods.

Adding contemporary flavor to the classical program, Muller-Schott will perform Austrian composer Anton Webern's Three Little Pieces, Op. 11, a compact yet explosively intense work that brings modernist sensibilities to the evening. The recital will conclude with Robert Schumann's lyrical Fantasy Pieces, Op. 73, providing audiences with the warmth and storytelling quality reminiscent of musical fairy tales. Throughout the performance, Muller-Schott will be accompanied by accomplished pianist Cho Jae-hyuck.
