Thirty students majoring in Korean studies from Satri Wat Absornsawan School participated in an immersive cultural experience at the Korea Cultural Center (KCC) Thailand on September 23. The educational field trip was designed to provide hands-on exposure to various aspects of Korean culture, complementing the students' academic studies of the Korean language.

During their visit, the students explored the "Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen World" exhibition currently on display at the center. This exhibition offered insights into the creative processes behind Korean visual media and entertainment production, allowing students to understand the cultural elements that shape Korea's global entertainment industry.

The cultural program included participation in traditional Korean games that have been enjoyed for generations. Students engaged in Tuho, a traditional ring-throwing game that requires skill and concentration, as well as Ddakjichigi, a competitive paper-flipping game, and Jegichagi, which involves keeping a shuttlecock airborne using feet. These activities provided an authentic experience of Korean recreational culture while fostering teamwork and friendly competition among the participants.

Another highlight of the visit was the hanbok experience, where students had the opportunity to wear traditional Korean clothing and take commemorative photographs. This hands-on activity allowed them to appreciate the aesthetic beauty and cultural significance of Korea's traditional attire, deepening their understanding of Korean heritage and customs.

The students also participated in a Minhwa painting workshop, creating their own versions of Korean folk art. Minhwa, characterized by its vibrant colors and symbolic meanings, represents an important aspect of Korean traditional culture. Through this artistic activity, students produced beautiful and colorful artworks while learning about the cultural stories and meanings embedded in this traditional art form.

Organizers expressed their hopes that this comprehensive cultural field trip will serve as a valuable supplement to the students' Korean language learning journey. By experiencing Korean culture firsthand through games, traditional clothing, and art, the students gained practical cultural knowledge that will enhance their understanding of the language within its proper cultural context.
