On Tuesday, the agencies representing South Korean actors Kim Tae-hee and Park Hae-soo confirmed their Hollywood debuts in Amazon Prime Video's upcoming spy thriller series, "Butterfly."
The six-part series revolves around former Central Intelligence Agency agent David Jung, portrayed by Daniel Dae Kim, and introduces a sociopathic CIA agent named Rebecca, played by Reina Hardesty. Adapted from Marguerite Bennett's graphic novel of the same title, the show promises an intriguing narrative set in the world of espionage.
Kim Tae-hee, renowned for her leading roles in Korean hit dramas such as "Iris" (2009) and "Love Story in Harvard" (2004), has secured a significant role in the series, as confirmed by her agency, Story J Company.
The highly-anticipated series is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. While the release date for "Butterfly" is yet to be confirmed, the inclusion of accomplished South Korean actors adds to the international allure of the project.
