Boy band POW [GRID]
On Wednesday, the boy band POW made their official debut with the release of their EP titled "Favorite" and a new track named "Dazzling." This follows their public introduction during a pre-debut showcase held last month.
In a press release, member Jungbin expressed their excitement and gratitude for the debut, promising to reciprocate the love they've received and not take their journey for granted.
The group had previously released a prerelease single titled "Favorite" on September 13, promoting its title track on various weekly music shows for two weeks. Additionally, they released the dance track "Amazing" last Thursday. The new songs, "Dazzling" and "Slow Dancing," were officially released on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
POW consists of members Yorch, a Thai actor-turned-singer with a significant social media following, and Dongyeon, who is of Korean and Filipino descent and previously participated in SBS's audition show "Loud" (2021). The other three members are Jungbin, Hyunbin, and Hong.
The band's name, POW, is symbolic of an explosion, reflecting their ambition to infuse explosive energy into the K-pop scene. The group's theme centers around "European youth culture," according to the agency representing them.
