Weekend Box Office Highlights Success of Comedy Crime Flick and Fantasy Sequel

Directed by filmmaker Choi Dong-hoon, the film garnered around 100,000 ticket sales over the weekend and has accumulated a total of 1.3 million ticket sales, grossing 12.64 billion won. The narrative follows an android named Guard (played by Kim Woo-bin) and his adopted daughter (played by Kim Tae-ri) as they traverse time periods to thwart alien criminals.
Disney's animation "Wish" claimed the third spot with 59,000 ticket sales over the weekend. Since its debut on Jan. 3, the fantasy musical film has achieved approximately 1.34 million ticket sales, totaling 12.77 billion won in revenue.

The comedy crime film "Citizen of a Kind" topped the local box office for five consecutive days following its release, accumulating approximately 300,000 ticket sales over the weekend and surpassing a total of 500,000 ticket sales, totaling 4.78 billion won ($3.58 million) in revenue.
Directed by newcomer Park Young-joo, the movie revolves around an ordinary single mother, Deok-hee (played by Ra Mi-ran), who falls victim to a voice phishing scam. Seeking retribution, she collaborates with the scammer (played by Gong) to dismantle the criminal organization responsible.
