Since its opening in 1988 in Gwanhun-dong, the current Insadong cultural street, Bon Gallery has dedicated to playing a crucial role in developing Korean modern and contemporary art by organizing distinctive and significant exhibitions in the domestic and global stage.
While contributing to the promotion of established artists, the gallery cultivates artists of young generations to share the dynamics in the contemporary art scene with the audiences. It has continued to present a wide range of exhibitions including exhibitions with stories and themes, drawing and sculpture exhibitions, and a special curatorial exhibition. Besides, it expands its range of activities such as public art projects and art consulting services with its independent selections of both the artists and the artworks.
Our mission is to contribute to organizing exhibitions with selective artworks of emerging and established artists, developing diverse dialogues on the contemporary art scene in Korea and worldwide. It provides a platform where viewers enhance their aesthetic experiences and have rich and vivid inspirations of contemporary art.
