The Korean Cultural Center in Thailand organized a special Korean Language Playground event on October 10 to commemorate Hangeul Proclamation Day, which is officially observed annually on October 9. The celebration brought together students from the Sejong Institute at the Cultural Center to participate in various Korean language competitions and activities.
The event featured multiple competitive activities designed to test and showcase students' Korean language proficiency. Participants engaged in sentence spacing challenges and topic-based word speaking competitions, allowing them to demonstrate their understanding of Korean grammar and vocabulary skills. These interactive activities provided students with an opportunity to apply their language learning in a fun and competitive environment.
A highlight of the celebration was the award ceremony recognizing the winner of a handwriting contest that attracted participation from more than 100 students. This contest demonstrated the widespread interest in Korean language learning among students at the Cultural Center and showcased their dedication to mastering the Korean writing system.
All students who participated in the Korean Language Playground received various commemorative gifts and prizes to recognize their efforts. The souvenirs included cultural items from the National Museum of Korea and Korean cosmetics, giving participants tangible connections to Korean culture beyond language learning.
The organizers expressed their sincere hope that all participating students will develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of Hangeul through this event. They emphasized their wish that students will continue to practice and enhance their Korean language abilities, furthering their connection to Korean culture and communication skills.
