Rookie K-pop Female Act Achieves Unprecedented Sales Milestone and Sustained Billboard Chart Presence

NewJeans, the emerging K-pop girl group, has surpassed the milestone of 4.39 million album units sold this year, marking a historic achievement for a female act in the genre. This data, confirmed by a local tally on Friday, reflects the cumulative sales of three albums released by the group.

Remarkably, each of these albums individually exceeded the one million sales mark. Notably, the most recent release, "Get Up," has already garnered over 1.99 million in sales as of November, with projections suggesting it will surpass the two million mark.

Further underscoring NewJeans' success is their sustained presence on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. The group's second mini-album continues to make waves, securing its position for an impressive 22 consecutive weeks on the chart. In the latest update dated December 30, the album climbed 32 spots to claim the No. 106 position on the Billboard 200.

These objective metrics emphasize NewJeans' remarkable impact on the K-pop scene, both in terms of record-breaking sales and an enduring presence on the globally recognized Billboard chart.
