Niel originally debuted as part of the boy band Teen Top in 2010. Despite a three-year hiatus, the four-piece team, including Niel, released the album "Teen Top [4SHO]" in July. Notably, Niel and Changjo transitioned to new agencies, while Ricky and Chunji opted not to renew their contracts with TOP Media, the management firm announced on Friday, concluding a 13-year association.

Teen Top member Niel is scheduled to launch his third solo single album, titled "Parting Emotion," on January 11, as announced by his agency, New Entry, on Friday. This marks Niel's return to solo endeavors approximately 14 months after the release of his third EP, "A to Z."
