The Netflix series "A Killer Paradox" has claimed the top spot on the streaming platform's weekly Top 10 chart for non-English shows, as reported on Wednesday. The crime thriller, released on February 9, garnered 5.5 million views from February 11 to 18, according to Netflix.
The series, featuring Choi Woo-shik as the main character Lee Tang, revolves around an ordinary college student who accidentally kills a stranger, only to discover the person was a serial killer. Lee Tang realizes he possesses the ability to identify and target individuals with evil intentions, prompting contemplation about continuing these homicides. Meanwhile, detective Jang Nan-gam, portrayed by Son Suk-ku, is in pursuit of Lee Tang.
The series is based on the original webtoon of the same name, which received multiple awards, including the Korea Content Award from the Korea Creative Content Agency and an annual award presented by the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency. Director Lee, known for his work on the film "The Vanished" (2018) and the drama "Hell Is Other People" (2019), led the adaptation of the webtoon to the screen.
