IST Entertainment, the agency representing the K-pop boy band Victon, announced on Thursday that three members of the group will be departing as their exclusive contracts come to an end. Han-se, Choi Byung-chan, and Jung Su-bin have all decided not to renew their contracts, according to the statement released by the agency.
“We have had lengthy discussions with the members facing the termination of their exclusive contracts and have decided to respect each party's decisions,” the statement read.
The remaining three members of the group, Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, and Lim Se-jun, have adjusted their exclusive contracts due to their military service and will continue to be represented by IST Entertainment for the time being.
“The three members will continue their planned schedules, including solo activities and musical performances. We will continue to support them in various aspects,” the agency added.
IST Entertainment also confirmed that the band will continue as Victon and that the departure of the three members does not signify a disbandment.
Victon debuted in 2016 as a seven-member boy band with their first EP, “Voice To New World”. Heo Chan left the group in 2022 after the agency revealed that he had been caught drunk driving. With the departure of Han-se, Choi Byung-chan, and Jung Su-bin, Victon will continue their activities as a three-member group.
