Jungkook, a member of the K-pop sensation BTS, showcased three hit singles, including "Seven," on the American NBC morning show "Today." The performance, part of the Citi Concert series, took place at Today Plaza in New York City on Wednesday (U.S. time).
Jungkook performed "Standing Next to You," the lead track from his first solo album released on Friday, along with previous singles "3D" and "Seven," accompanied by a live band. The event drew a large crowd of fans who gathered to witness the live performance.
During the show, a 10-year-old girl expressed her love for Jungkook, to which he responded with "I love you too." The emotional moment, with the girl shedding tears upon hearing his reply, was broadcast live to American TV viewers.
Introduced as a "global pop sensation" by the program host, Jungkook mentioned his album "Golden" and expressed hope that the audience would enjoy the show and have a "golden day." The 11-track album is highly anticipated and expected to debut prominently on the Billboard 200 main albums chart next week.
