Netflix's hit animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" is bringing its universe to life with an official pop-up store set to open in Seoul next month. The immersive retail experience will offer fans exclusive merchandise and character-themed attractions, capitalizing on the movie's global success with tangible products and interactive elements.
The "KPop Demon Hunters Official POP-UP SEOUL" will operate from December 4 to 28 in the trendy Seongsu-dong area of Seoul's Seongdong District, a popular destination known for hosting major pop-up events. This ambitious project represents a collaboration between streaming giant Netflix and B.stage, a Korean fan-commerce company that specializes in producing and globally distributing merchandise for the film.
Fans can expect an extensive collection of products featuring beloved characters from the animated movie, including members of the fictional K-pop groups Huntrix and the Saja Boys. The comprehensive merchandise lineup includes plush dolls, keyrings, apparel, and accessories, along with authentic K-pop-themed collectibles such as photocards and specially designed binders for photocard collectors. Several exclusive items will be available only at the Seoul pop-up event, adding extra appeal for dedicated fans.
For eager customers looking to secure their purchases early, Netflix and B.stage will launch an online pre-order system. The pre-order window opens on November 25 at 11:00 AM and runs until November 30 at midnight, accessible through the film's official fan community website.
A Netflix spokesperson emphasized the company's commitment to fan engagement, explaining that they launched the pop-up "in response to the film's strong global reception." The representative revealed that Seoul will serve as the inaugural stop in a comprehensive Asia tour designed to expand fan engagement throughout the region. Following the Seoul launch, the pop-up experience will travel to other major Asian cities, including Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Taipei.
B.stage representatives highlighted their role in creating meaningful fan experiences, stating that the merchandise was specifically designed to help fans "extend the experience of the film in physical form." The company emphasized their extensive experience in character branding and pop-up operations for global entertainment intellectual properties, positioning them as ideal partners for this international venture.
Ticket reservations for the Seoul pop-up will follow a tiered release schedule. Official fan community membership holders will gain early access to reservations starting November 18, while the general public can begin booking on November 20. Each reservation allows entry for up to two people, ensuring fans can share the experience with friends or family members.
