Jungkook of BTS secured the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s daily digital single ranking with his solo song “Never Let Go,” released last week. This marks his seventh song to reach the top of the Oricon chart, setting a record for a K-pop solo artist. The English-language single, dedicated to his fans, also debuted at the top of Oricon’s weekly single ranking and held the No. 1 position for two consecutive days. Additionally, “Never Let Go” topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 102 regions.
The release of “Never Let Go,” which Jungkook co-wrote, coincides with BTS's 11th debut anniversary, which will be celebrated on Thursday.
In related news, Jungkook was seen congratulating fellow BTS member Jin, who completed his mandatory military service the previous day. The BTS members gathered to commemorate the occasion and shared a photo of their celebration at Hybe.
