The agency indicated that future activities would be rescheduled based on the health status of the affected members.
Despite the cancellation of a press conference originally set for Monday to celebrate the album release, "2" is still scheduled to be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the same day.
Notably, (G)I-dle faced controversy last week related to the lyrics of the album's pre-release track, "Wife." Criticism emerged, with public broadcaster KBS recommending revisions for broadcast suitability. However, as the song is not the title track of the album, the group opted not to revise the lyrics.
With over 1.8 million preorders recorded as of Wednesday, "2" marks (G)I-dle's second million-seller album, following their sixth mini-album, "I feel," released in May 2023.
