Additionally, both entities will work together to develop new marketing strategies based on an analysis of data related to Chinese travelers' consumption patterns.
Commencing on February 1, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will initiate a special smartphone payment service, providing customers with discounts of up to 20 percent when using Alipay Plus QR codes at affiliated stores in Myeongdong and nationwide Zeropay Plus-affiliated shops. To further promote smartphone payments, a dedicated event will take place on the fifth floor of the HiKR Ground in Jung-gu, central Seoul.
This promotional initiative welcomes overseas travelers who utilized smartphone payment services during their trip or shared their experiences at HiKR Ground on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu. The event will feature a unique photo zone and a photo vending machine operated by the franchise Life Four Cuts.
