Billie Eilish is set to engage with her South Korean fans in a special listening session for her latest album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” at the Théâtre des Lumières, an immersive art museum in Seoul. The event, hosted by Spotify, will take place on June 18 in Gwangjin District, eastern Seoul, according to a Wednesday announcement by the streaming service.
Eilish promoted the event by sharing an RSVP link on her Instagram story. The session is designed to combine visual elements with a sonic experience to deepen attendees' understanding of the new album, as described by Spotify.
This Seoul event is the second in a series of immersive listening sessions for Eilish's new album. The series began in London at the immersive art space Lightroom on May 16 and 17.
“We are thrilled to bring Billie Eilish’s immersive listening experience to Korea, serving as the bridge that connects Billie and her fans in South Korea,” said Park Jung-joo, Spotify’s head of music in Korea. “We will continue to showcase our global music ecosystem and help drive a culture that brings artists and fans together in a truly unique, Spotify way.”
In addition to the listening session, Eilish is scheduled to appear on the South Korean television talk show “You Quiz on the Block” in June.
“Hit Me Hard and Soft” was released on May 17, three years after Eilish's previous full-length album, “Happier Than Ever,” which came out in 2021. The artist last performed in South Korea during her world tour in 2022, with a concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro District, western Seoul.
