JYP Entertainment Announces New EP Following Successful Debut and Fan Events

NiziU was formed through JYP Entertainment's “Globalization by Localization” project, which aims to adapt the K-pop system to international markets. The group was created via the “Nizi Project,” a joint audition program with Sony Music Entertainment, which concluded in June 2020.
The all-Japanese girl group comprises nine members: Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina.

NiziU, a girl group under JYP Entertainment, will release its first Japanese EP titled "Rise Up" on July 24, according to a statement from the agency. This new release comes 11 months after the group's last full-length album, "Coconut," which sold 141,804 copies in its first week and topped the weekly Oricon Albums Chart.
NiziU recently held its first fan meeting event, “NiziU Fan Meeting with U 2024 Nizi'U'niversity,” on June 1 and 2 at K-Arena Yokohama in Japan. The group is scheduled to host another fan meeting on July 27 and 28 at Osaka-jo Hall in Japan.
