SEOUL, South Korea — Fans of the K-pop boy band Seventeen can now celebrate the group’s eighth anniversary at the special pop-up cafe located in Gangnam, southern Seoul. The “Seventeen Cafe in Seoul” opened last Thursday at the Daily Teum exhibition space near Gangnam Station, offering four floors filled with food, drinks, merchandise, and exhibits for Seventeen fans to enjoy.
This marks the first time that the event is taking place in Korea, after it was held last year in Japan, where the band has gained a huge following. Fans from all over the country have been making their way to the cafe to immerse themselves in the world of Seventeen and commemorate the band's milestone.
Upon entering the cafe, visitors are greeted with an array of Seventeen-themed decorations, from posters to neon lights, all designed to evoke the spirit of the band. Each floor features a unique theme, including a café on the first floor, a merchandise shop on the second floor, a photo exhibition on the third floor, and a “studio” on the fourth floor where visitors can take photos and create their own Seventeen-inspired content.
The café menu features various drinks and desserts inspired by the members of the band, including a peach-flavored beverage named after member Hoshi and a blueberry yogurt drink inspired by Mingyu. Fans can also try out the “Seventeen Bento,” a meal set consisting of rice, meat, vegetables, and fruits, which is decorated with images of the band members.
In addition to the food and drinks, the pop-up cafe also offers an extensive selection of Seventeen merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and tote bags, all adorned with the band’s logo or member names. Fans can also purchase limited-edition items, such as a special anniversary photo book and an official fan club kit.
The highlight of the café is the photo exhibition on the third floor, which features a display of rare photos of the band taken over the past eight years, including behind-the-scenes shots and personal snapshots. Fans can take photos with life-size cutouts of their favorite members or browse through the collection of official merchandise from past concerts and events.
The cafe has been a huge success so far, drawing in fans from all over the world who have been sharing their experiences on social media. The event will be open until May 28, and reservations can be made through Weverse or the Hybe Merch social accounts. Tickets are priced at 13,000 won (approximately $11 USD), with additional fees for merchandise purchases.
