Nicolas Henry and the association Letourdunmonde are launching the third edition of the PHOTOCLIMAT Biennale, running from September 12 to October 12, 2025. This unique outdoor photography festival represents the first free environmental and social biennale held in the heart of Paris and the greater Paris region.
The month-long event aims to provide visibility to non-governmental organizations and foundations through photographic art, showcasing their daily actions and highlighting the valuable work of both the organizations and the individuals who commit themselves to their causes. The biennale seeks to demonstrate the significant impact of volunteer work in France, where more than 12 million people are part of an association - nearly one person in five.
Through a carefully curated journey of artistic exhibitions, events, and meetings supported by NGOs, the biennale offers comprehensive outreach to diverse audiences including the general public, young people, environmental leaders and activists, businesses, and public authorities. The program focuses on raising awareness about the pressing social and environmental challenges of our time while promoting understanding of critical issues facing society today.
The festival's primary mission centers on promoting the work and advocacy efforts of general interest associations and foundations. By showcasing their initiatives, PHOTOCLIMAT aims to create awareness and inspire action, encouraging donations, volunteer participation, and talent recruitment for these important causes. Additionally, the event seeks to motivate artists to engage more deeply with social issues, thereby expanding the representation of various causes through artistic expression.
Art and culture serve as essential mediators in this unique event, bringing together artists and NGOs around the concept of civic engagement and social responsibility. Special educational pathways have been developed specifically to reach young audiences, who are recognized as the key actors in tomorrow's environmental and social changes.
Accessible to everyone through its outdoor format, PHOTOCLIMAT features a dynamic mix of contemporary artworks and documentary photography displayed in massive, eco-designed scenography. These installations incorporate principles of circular economy and recycling, demonstrating environmental consciousness in every aspect of the exhibition design.
The third edition of PHOTOCLIMAT will take place from September 12 to October 12, 2025, throughout Paris and the surrounding region, continuing its mission to bridge the gap between artistic expression and environmental activism through the powerful medium of photography.
