In an enthusiastic celebration of cultural exchange, the eagerly anticipated "K-pop Super Live" concert, held in conjunction with the World Scout Jamboree, is set to dazzle attendees with a star-studded lineup, even as BTS abstains from performing. While BTS enthusiasts may miss the band's live presence, an exquisite treat awaits—a lavish offering of BTS photocard sets, valued at a staggering 800 million won ($600,000), generously provided by the boy band's agency, HYBE.
Concert-goers fortunate enough to participate in the World Scout Jamboree's "K-pop Super Live" event will be bestowed a meticulously curated goodie bag. This thoughtful token of appreciation, a collaborative effort between the Culture Ministry, HYBE, and Kakao Entertainment, encompasses an array of captivating K-pop memorabilia, including coveted light sticks, endearing Kakao Friends merchandise, and the coveted BTS photocards.
The Seoul World Cup Stadium, nestled in the heart of western Seoul, will set the stage for the electrifying concert, slated to commence on Friday at 7 p.m. The musical extravaganza unfolds seamlessly following the World Scout Jamboree's grand closing ceremony, ensuring a seamless transition from global camaraderie to pulsating rhythms.
In a gesture that mirrors the band's boundless generosity, HYBE has allocated an impressive total of 43,000 BTS photocard sets for distribution. Each set, a cherished collector's item, contains seven intricately designed photocards—one representing each esteemed member of BTS.
Clarifying the intention behind this grand gesture, HYBE articulated in a press release on Friday: "We have decided to provide [the photocard set] so the 40 thousand participants from around 150 nations around the world can feel and experience the K-pop culture up close. We hope the performance becomes a special opportunity for the participants to build up precious and meaningful memories about Korea."
The concert itself boasts a star-studded lineup, representing the vibrant spectrum of K-pop prowess. Featuring illustrious bands like IVE, NewJeans, NCT Dream, ITZY, Mamamoo, The Boyz, Shownu & Hyungwon, fromis_9, ZeroBaseOne, P1Harmony, KARD, The New Six, ATBO, xikers, Holybang, and Libelante, as well as soloists Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun-bi, and Jo Yuri, the event promises an unforgettable musical experience that transcends geographical boundaries.
