Stray Kids, the chart-topping K-pop boy band under JYP Entertainment, is gearing up for an electrifying celebration to commemorate the fifth anniversary of their devoted fan club. In an announcement made on Wednesday, the agency revealed plans for a weeklong event, "2023 STAYweek," packed with exclusive content and engaging activities.
The focal point of the festivities will be the release of a special summer song, scheduled to drop on August 1st. The eagerly awaited track will be presented through the band's official YouTube series, "SKZ-Record," coinciding with the exact date when STAY, the dedicated fan club, was established five years ago.
Fans will have more reasons to rejoice as Stray Kids joins forces with Photoism, the renowned 4-cut photobooth brand, to create a unique interactive experience. Throughout the celebration, fans will be able to enhance their photos with exclusive filters featuring the beloved members of the boy band.
Adding to the excitement, the agency promised an array of captivating video releases. Fans will get an insider's glimpse into the band's album production process, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at their collaboration with Photoism. Moreover, a special fan meeting video will be shared, amplifying the connection between Stray Kids and their dedicated supporters.
Since their debut in 2017 as a nine-member ensemble, Stray Kids has garnered international acclaim for their vibrant performances and exceptional musicality. Despite the departure of Woojin in 2019, the group continued to thrive as an eight-member powerhouse comprising Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.
One of the band's standout features is the producing subunit 3RACHA, composed of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. This talented trio has been instrumental in crafting the majority of Stray Kids' music, including the lead track "S-Class," from their latest album released in June.
With their unwavering dedication to their art and passionate fanbase, Stray Kids has secured a prominent position in the global K-pop landscape. As the group prepares to mark this significant milestone with "2023 STAYweek," anticipation is building among fans for a memorable celebration of music, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit of Stray Kids.
