Thirty-nine students majoring in Korean language studies from Thammasat Klongluang Witayakom School embarked on an enriching cultural journey at the Korea Cultural Center (KCC) Thailand on July 30. The field trip was designed to provide students with hands-on experience of authentic Korean traditions and contemporary culture, complementing their formal language studies with practical cultural immersion.

The students began their visit by exploring the "Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen World" exhibition, which is currently being showcased at the Korea Cultural Center. This exhibition offers visitors insights into the creative processes behind Korean film and television productions, highlighting the artistry and technical expertise that goes into creating the visual worlds audiences see on screen.

Following the exhibition tour, students participated in a variety of traditional Korean games that have been enjoyed for generations. They tried their hand at Tuho, a ring-toss game traditionally played during Korean festivals, along with Ddakjichigi, a popular children's game similar to pogs, and Jegichagi, which involves kicking a traditional shuttlecock-like object to keep it airborne. These activities provided students with a playful yet meaningful connection to Korean cultural heritage.

Another highlight of the visit included a hanbok fitting session, where students had the opportunity to wear traditional Korean clothing and take commemorative photographs. The experience allowed them to appreciate the elegance and historical significance of Korean traditional dress while creating lasting memories of their cultural exploration.

The program also featured a hands-on craft workshop where students created traditional Korean-style storage boxes. These practical items were designed not only as learning tools but also as meaningful keepsakes that students could take home, serving as tangible reminders of their cultural experience and study of Korean traditions.

Organizers expressed their sincere hope that this comprehensive field trip experience would significantly enhance the students' Korean language learning journey by providing cultural context and deeper understanding of the society behind the language they are studying. The immersive approach aims to strengthen students' connection to Korean culture and potentially inspire continued interest in Korean studies.
