Everland, an amusement theme park and zoo in Yongin, Gyeonggi, released new photos of twin pandas Rui Bao and Hui Bao on Friday to commemorate 100 days since their public debut.
The twin pandas, born on July 7 last year at Everland, have garnered attention despite lacking the superstar status of their older sister Fu Bao, who departed for China on April 3.
According to Everland, approximately 600,000 visitors have seen Rui Bao and Hui Bao since they were first revealed to the public on January 4.
Rui Bao and Hui Bao are Korea’s first naturally bred giant panda twins. Their names, "wise treasure" and "shining treasure," were chosen through a public selection process to celebrate their 100th day since birth in October last year.
Initially weighing 180 grams (0.39 pounds) and 140 grams each, both pandas now weigh over 25 kilograms. The released photographs depict the pandas playing, eating together, and being cared for by zookeeper Song Yeong-gwan.
